Dr. Griggs is Professor in the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology and in the Department of Health Management and Policy in the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan. Her medical oncology practice focuses on the care of patients with breast cancer.
Her federally-funded research program focuses on quality of care and equity in care for minorities, patients who live in lower resourced areas, and patients who identify as sexual and gender minorities. She also conducts research on and patient-provider communication and end-of-life care.
Dr. Griggs is the Program Director for the Michigan Oncology Quality Consortium, a statewide network of nearly 100% of oncology practices. The purpose of the collaborative is to measure and improve oncology quality of care. She has served as Chair or a member of multiple committees at ASCO and is one of the Associate Editors for the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
