With 25 million Sikhs worldwide, Sikhi (also known as Sikhism) is the fifth-largest major world religion. However, knowledge about the Sikh faith, traditions, and observances remains relatively limited in the United States, including among healthcare workers. Participants will attend a presentation and an interactive session that will cover the basics of the Sikh faith, information about the community, and best practices that might be helpful when caring for Sikh patients.
