Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a common global health problem that needs to be managed in its early stages. Detection and treatment of the disease in these early stages can also prevent development or slow the disease progression, and reduce complications. The 2nd Annual Jefferson Renal Update Symposium is specifically designed to not only address the risk factors, but also the disease burden, recommendations for assessment and management, clinical practice guidelines, clinical trials, new therapies, areas of uncertainty and future challenges of this disease.
Through didactic lectures, case presentations, and panel discussions, the following topics will be explored:
- Dysnatremia and Potassium Disorder
- Bone and Mineral Disease
- New Hypertension Guidelines
- Chronic Kidney Disease Update & Safety
- Nephrolithiasis
- Dialysis Potpourri
This course is designed for practicing physicians, nurses/nurse practitioners, hospitalists, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals specializing in nephrology, internal medicine, family medicine, and general practice.
