The Jefferson College of Population Health Quality Improvement/Patient Safety Leadership Program (QIPS) encompasses leaders from all areas of the healthcare leadership team. This hybrid program includes focused coursework, in-person sessions and a mentored improvement project designed to align improvement work with the participants’ practice and/or organizational improvement goals. Participants graduate from the course with practical knowledge and the leadership skills needed for strategic execution of improvements.
This session is focused on developing skills in data acquisition and analysis to assist learners in completion of the required individual improvement project.
To successfully complete this activity, the required evaluation must be completed no later than Monday, August 23, 2021. Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued. No refunds will be offered for failure to complete the required evaluation by the stated deadline.
This is an interdisciplinary educational activity designed for all healthcare providers and healthcare professionals.
Following completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Analyze the 'raw data' needs for QI/PS projects, and population health initiatives.
- Identify clinical, administrative, financial, operational, and other data sources that inform individual improvement projects.
- Evaluate Thomas Davenport’s model for working with quants in data analysis projects.
- Construct solutions to overcome identified challenges and obstacles in data acquisition.
- Organize data needs specific to individual improvement project.
