The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) module covers topics focused on information security, specifically HIPAA, FERPA and information security. The information learned in this course will help to keep the information of patients, students, and employees safe and reduce the likelihood of a cyberattack.

Successful Completion
To successfully complete this activity, the required evaluation must be completed immediately following the viewing of the module in its entirety. Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, and nurses.
Learning Objectives
Following this educational activity, learners will be able to:
- Recognize when there’s been a violation of information sharing (i.e. FERPA, HIPPA, etc.)
- Explain when it is acceptable and not acceptable to share sensitive information.
