Losing the joy in teaching affects teachers and learners. The lack of joy in teachers can lead to loss of enthusiasm for work, feelings of cynicism and a low sense of personal accomplishment. This also affects the learner.
Presentations will focus on the Jefferson Educator. This year's theme will be Sparking Joy in Teaching. Joy in teaching and its expression are diverse. The experience of joy and its interpretations are unique to each of us as faculty members.
Faculty will share where and how faculty find joy in their work while sustaining high teaching standards. These experiences may highlight curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular educational activities throughout the Jefferson community. We will discuss how these experiences can inform pragmatic educational strategies that exemplify innovation and professional vitality.
Jefferson OCPD learning management system (LMS) is getting a whole lot better! We are moving to a new LMS and because of this change, the due date has changed.
The due date for completing the required evaluation for credit is Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
Thereafter, the evaluation will no longer be available and credits will not be issued. No refunds will be offered for failure to complete the required evaluation by the stated deadline.
This is an interdisciplinary educational activity designed for all healthcare providers and healthcare professionals.
Following completion of this session, learners will be able to:
- Identify teaching strategies that are linked to professional vitality.
- Describe strategies that integrate innovation into teaching.
This educational activity received no commercial or in-kind support.
Agenda subject to change.
