The 6th Annual Diabetes Symposium: New Advances and Trends offers a unique learning experience emphasizing the interprofessional team approach needed to improve diabetes care and prevent complications. Cases will be discussed from multiple interdisciplinary perspectives, providing participants with best practices in: the treatment of type 1 & 2 diabetes, reduction of cardiovascular risk factors, transplant-induced diabetes, latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, maturity onset diabetes of the young, and intensive insulin therapy. The expert faculty will provide guidance to participants in applying the new knowledge and clinical guidelines into their practices.
This course is designed for practicing endocrinologists, primary care physicians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, certified diabetes educators, dietitians, nurses and trainees.
