The focus of this year's conference is the "Exploration of the Fourth Modality in Neuro-Oncology" - moving beyond surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy and into a new era of alternative therapies and selective treatments for both primary and metastatic brain tumors.
Join us as we review the latest scientific evidence for emerging and fourth modality treatments, patient guidelines, and current neuro-oncologic therapies to incorporate into clinical practice to meet the needs of this diverse patient population.
The morning keynote presentations will be devoted to the theme of the symposium: key advancements in neuro-oncology that directly impact the treatment of brain tumors.
In the afternoon, the program will split into two tracks, tailoring information for physicians and nurses and allied health professionals, and allowing for additional opportunities for focused discussions and interactions.
This course is designed for all specialists working in the field of neuro-oncology: neurosurgeons, neurologists, neuro-oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, advanced care providers, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, hospitalists, oncology social workers and pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
In keeping with Jefferson’s integrated approach to education and care, this Symposium is organized through the collaborative efforts of Jefferson’s Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, the Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience, and Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University |
