The February "Focused Workshop in Endoscopy" has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
Plase contact the Office of CME at 215-955-6992 or jeffersoncme@jefferson.edu if you have any questions.
This full-day “boutique” CME accredited workshop focuses on Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) for Barrett’s Esophagus and Cryoablation along with Volumetric Laser Endomicroscopy (VLE) and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) in an intimate small group learning experience.
The workshop uniquely combines didactic material and live-case demonstrations along with a hands-on pig explant lab to provide interested gastroenterologists with a comprehensive learning experience.
- Patient selection
- RFA using the 360/90/60 and ultra-ablation devices
- Cryotherapy
- EMR and post ablation follow-up, including the use of advanced Brush Cytology and VLE.
Participants will enter the procedure room to directly observe live cases and to interact in-person with Jefferson’s therapeutic endoscopy team.
The informal setting promotes an atmosphere conducive to questions and discussions on all aspects of Barrett ablation and EMR. The workshop also includes guided practice advanced endoscopy techniques under the guidance of Jefferson faculty.
All faculty at continuing educating activities for nurses, physicians and allied health professionals are required to disclose to the audience:
- Any significant financial relationships with the manufacturer(s) of any commercial products, goods or services
- Any unlabeled/unapproved uses of drugs or devices discussed in their presentations.
Such disclosures will be made in writing in the course presentation materials. Jefferson Conflict of Interest resolution process may result in changes to the program agenda.
