This year's James L.A. Roth Visiting Professor is the distinguished Arun J. Sanyal, MD, FAASLD, Charles Caravati Professor and Chair, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Department of Internal Medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
Dr. Sanyal has over 25 years of experience as a hepatologist and has served as the secretary and president of the American Association for Study of Liver Diseases, founding member of the Hepatology board of the American Board of Internal Medicine, chair of the NIH hepatobiliary pathophysiology study section and member of the council of the NIH.
The James L.A. Roth Annual Professorship is the oldest gastroenterology visiting professorship in Philadelphia, and we are honored to have Dr. Sanyal lecture on various liver diseases, discuss clinical cases and tour our facilities over the two day event. There will be time to mix and mingle with faculty and other attendees during the reception for Dr. Sanyal immediately following the final lectures.
